ABOUT SMP

We are a collective of Somerville youth workers who saw the challenges young adults face after aging out of services. We are dedicated to creating real support systems and community for young adults.

Between us we’ve worked with a dozen community organizations and over 150 young people from Somerville. Many of us started our work as teen leaders, then moved into program coordinators, and then program directors.

Our programming is informed by the globally recognized Co-Active Coaching framework, which emphasizes self-awareness, accountability, and empowerment in supportive relationships, and Urban Institute's Upward Mobility Framework.
